Our Environmental Consulting Services
Environmental Site Assessments
Our staff have completed numerous contamination assessments, remedial investigations, environmental site assessments at RCRA, CERCLA, state lead sites (e.g., petroleum, dry cleaner), or client-driven sites (e.g., Brownfield or real estate transaction), including sites with dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPL), light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPL), soil contamination, and dissolved plumes for a wide variety of organic and inorganic contaminants. AOTC also specializes in Petroleum Site Assessment & Remediation.
We perform feasibility studies, corrective measures studies, and remedial action plans to address risks to human health and the environment under various regulatory programs, including RCRA, CERCLA, state lead cleanup criteria, and site-specific consent orders. Our credibility with regulatory agencies as an environmental consulting firm has been earned through a multi-disciplinary approach, scientific integrity, quality work products, and extensive interaction with USEPA, state, and local regulators. We pride ourselves in getting the science right – a solid foundation for cost-effective remedial solutions.
We provide engineering services to deliver full-service support in a variety of areas, including:
Remediation of contaminated sites
- FDEP Preapproval Program
- Water supply and water resource projects
- Water and wastewater treatment and distribution
- Environmental permitting (air, NPDES, POTW)
- Environmental compliance plans (SPCC, SWPPP)
Our engineering capabilities provide clients with seamless project delivery from concept, permitting, design, and construction. Engineering design capabilities include feasibility studies, bench, and pilot-scale testing. We can provide clients with fully integrated turn-key delivery through design-build projects with in-house engineering capabilities.
Operation & Maintenance and Field Support
Operation & Maintenance (O&M) costs often represent the single most significant portion of project lifecycle costs. We have a group dedicated to operation & maintenance and field support for various remediation, water, wastewater, and pollution control systems. This experience gives us insight into developing simple and effective strategies using proven technologies that reduce lifecycle costs.
AOTC provides cost-effective, high-quality environmental engineering and O&M services to customers with single or multiple soil/groundwater treatment systems. More importantly, we have a proven record of site closure or downsizing soil/groundwater treatment systems as soon as possible. Simply operating systems are not enough. Our remedial system O&M programs are structured to reduce system operation costs while exploring alternative approaches to achieving site closure.
There are over 125 permitted Class I injection Well facilities in the State of Florida. Our staff has experience on more than 45 injection wells since 1982. Our experience with environmental engineering, geology, deep well technology, and deep well injection in Florida and beyond is second to none.
