MOT (TTC) Traffic Control Training

Train With Confidence. Earn Your MOT Certification in Basic, Intermediate, or Refresher Training.

Safety on the Road Starts With Certified Traffic Control Professionals

Improper traffic control puts lives at risk. Whether it’s a roadside work zone or a busy lane closure, one mistake can lead to serious injury or worse. That’s why Florida law requires MOT (Temporary Traffic Control) training—and why Alpha-Omega Training and Compliance, Inc. (AOTC) is trusted to deliver it. Our FDOT-approved Basic, Intermediate, and Intermediate Refresher courses meet certification standards, reduce liability, and prepare workers to manage traffic control zones with confidence, precision, and safety.

About MOT (TTC) Training

Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) or Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Training is required in Florida for anyone working on or near roadways, including contractors, inspectors, and supervisors who place or maintain traffic control devices. MOT (TTC) training ensures workers can set up and manage work zones safely, protect crews and motorists, and minimize traffic disruptions.

Certification must be maintained through Basic, Intermediate, or Refresher courses, depending on role and experience. Staying current is key to compliance, safety, and liability reduction.

Our Classes

Certified instructors with years of experience in roadway safety and traffic control teach our MOT (TTC) training classes. Classes are structured to maximize learning and reduce downtime, with formats tailored for adults working in the field.

  • Max Class Size Per Instructor: No set limit, but a minimum charge for 10 students applies
  • Class Durations:: Basic: 4 Hours; Intermediate: 16 Hours; Intermediate Refresher: 8 Hours.

All sessions are held in classroom settings with high-quality visuals, regulatory reviews, and group discussions. While no field exercises are included, the curriculum is designed to simulate realistic situations with signage plans and work zone diagrams.

Certifications

Upon completing your selected training (Basic, Intermediate, or Refresher), participants will receive an official MOT Certification Card recognized by FDOT.

  • Intermediate and Refresher certifications are valid for 4 years.
  • Basic MOT is typically used for entry-level roles or as an awareness tool.

Staying current ensures compliance with Florida regulations and prepares your team for site inspections, public safety enforcement, and jobsite safety audits. If your Intermediate certification is nearing expiration, we recommend scheduling a Refresher course early to maintain continuous coverage.
